02 / WHAT TO REVIEW

Four decisions before filing.

These questions shape a case-specific assessment. A checklist is not a clearance opinion or a filing instruction.

01

Mark & Chinese name

List the exact word or logo. Include any Chinese name already used or planned, and note who created it. Search and registrability need a case review.

02

Goods & services

Describe what you sell or will sell in China, with real examples. China uses classes and a more detailed similar-goods-and-services table; wording needs local review.

03

Filing route

For an applicant without a China business domicile, the domestic route requires an authorized trademark agency. Madrid designation is another route when eligibility and a basic mark fit.

04

Work & deadlines

Identify any existing applications, refusals or opposition notices, and the actual date on the document. Scope, deliverables, fees and who handles each step are agreed per matter.
